The Big Day
The StarHouse is a sacred ceremonial building nestled in the hills just outside of Boulder, up Mapleton Avenue which turns into Sunshine Canyon Drive. You can go to www.TheStarHouse.org for lots of background and directions. For a detailed map from your home, go to www.mapquest.com or call Charlotte at 720-470-4064. Please allow a leisurely 30 minute drive from Boulder and at least 75 minutes from the Denver area. Give yourselves lots of extra time to come up and enjoy the grounds and explore. It is a short and easy walk through the woods from the parking lot to the StarHouse so you will want comfortable walking shoes, not heels! This is a pretty casual affair, feel free to dress up a little, not alot. Shoes are not allowed in the ceremony building itself. If you would like a shuttle ride to the building from the parking lot, please let us know and we can accomodate your preference.
The Garden Party will follow at Charlotte's home in Southeast Boulder, 230 Cimmaron Way. Once again you can Mapquest if you like, or, follow Sunshine Canyon Drive ( Mapleton ) down to 9th Street, take a right onto 9th, then a left onto Baseline at the end of 9th. Follow Baseline down just a couple miles, cross over Foothills Parkway (157) and take the first right at the light onto Manhattan Drive. At the 3rd stopsign take a left on Cimmaron Way, we are partying at the 4th house on the right, #230. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to get to my house, which is very close to 36 if you are returning to the Denver area. This is a multi-cultural event, with an appetizer buffet, live World music, and MiddleEastern belly dancing. Please wear shoes appropriate for the back yard, or go barefoot! There will be a sumptuous feast, mesmerizing music, enchanting dancing, and bellydance instruction for the daring. This is a party not to be missed....not your typical 'reception'......
